Under the hood, the Tata Harrier EV RWD uses either a 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery pack.
Tata claims the larger 75 kWh battery can deliver an ARAI-certified range of up to 627 km on a full charge (real-world mileage is expected to be around 480–505 km).
The RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) model has a rear-mounted electric motor producing a strong acceleration of 238 PS (roughly 235 hp) for this big Harrier SUV.
Fast charging is also supported in these variants of Harrier EV. Using a 120 kW DC fast charger for 15 minutes adds roughly 250 km of range. The battery pack takes only 25 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%.
- Interior & Comfort: The Harrier EV has a spacious interior cabin. Its driver dashboard has a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a fully digital instrument panel.
The front seats are ventilated and power-adjustable, and come with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Adding to that, it has ambient multi-colour lighting with a premium JBL Dolby Atmos audio system. - Technology & Convenience: The Tata Harrier EV RWD brings along an array of modern techs like wireless smartphone mirroring (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
Owners get a digital key (so that you can use your phone or smartwatch to lock/unlock your car) and even have a ‘summon’ mode, which is a limited autonomous driving capability so that the car can move in tight spaces.
The Tata Harrier EV RWD includes various drive modes (Eco, City, Sport and off-road terrain modes) and advanced aids like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist. - Safety & Driver Assistance: The Tata Harrier EV RWD includes 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system for safety. It also has front and rear parking sensors, a 360°/540° surround-view camera, and an automatic parking assist feature. Level 2 ADAS features (such as collision warning and lane-keeping assist) help the driver, making highway and city driving safer.
Back in January, Tata Motors pulled the curtain from the earliest prototype of the Tata Harrier EV at the 17th Auto Expo 2025.
In summary, the Harrier EV RWD combines long electric range and robust power with many modern features and safety aids, all at prices similar to many mid-size petrol SUVs.
