Upcoming Tata Cars Launching in India

Tata Motors is known for its innovation, safety, and affordability. Over the next two years, Tata is gearing up to launch new petrol engines, advanced EVs, CNG options, and even a premium next-gen electric platform.
Tata Motors has an ambitious lineup of new vehicles scheduled to launch in India from late November 2025 onwards, spanning ICE, electric, and alternative fuel powertrains. Here’s a comprehensive overview of what’s coming:
Tata Sierra (November 25, 2025)
The iconic Tata Sierra makes its highly anticipated comeback with both ICE and EV variants. The production-spec model has already been revealed and will officially launch on November 25, 2025.
ICE Variants: The Sierra will debut Tata’s new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine alongside a 1.5-litre turbocharged GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine from the ‘Hyperion’ family, producing approximately 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre diesel option is also expected. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available.
Design & Features: The Sierra features a modern yet retro-inspired boxy design with connected LED lighting, triple-screen dashboard layout, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
Expected Price: ₹12-21 lakh (ICE variants)
Tata Sierra EV (February 2026)
The electric Sierra is expected to arrive in early 2026.
Platform & Specs: Built on Tata’s Acti.ev architecture, the Sierra EV is anticipated to offer 65-75 kWh battery pack options with a range of up to 500 km. It may feature dual-motor AWD configuration similar to the Harrier EV.
Expected Price: ₹15-25 lakh
Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol (December 9, 2025)
Both flagship SUVs will receive petrol powertrains for the first time, launching on December 9, 2025.
Engine: The new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged GDI petrol engine from the Hyperion family will produce 168-170 hp at 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 2,000-3,500 rpm. Manual and automatic transmission options are expected.
Expected Price: The Harrier petrol is expected to start around ₹13-14 lakh, slightly below the current diesel range of ₹14-25.25 lakh. The Safari petrol will be priced similarly competitive to its diesel counterparts (₹14.66-25.96 lakh).
Tata Punch Facelift (January-August 2026)
The popular micro-SUV will receive a mid-cycle refresh expected between January and August 2026.
Updates: The facelift includes a new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, connected LED light bar at the rear, larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, and styling elements borrowed from the Punch EV.
Powertrain: The existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (86 hp/113 Nm) and i-CNG bi-fuel option will continue with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox choices.
Expected Price: ₹6-11 lakh
Tata Altroz EV (December 2026 – January 2027)
The electric version of Tata’s premium hatchback is expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
Specs: Expected to feature a 30-40 kWh battery pack delivering up to 300-350 km range. Built on the Acti.ev platform shared with the Punch EV, it will offer digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment, and connected car technology.
Expected Price: ₹12-15 lakh
Tata Safari EV (May-November 2026)
The three-row electric SUV is slated for a mid-to-late 2026 launch.
Specifications: Expected to feature a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with approximately 520 km ARAI-certified range. The dual-motor AWD configuration could produce 320 hp and 450 Nm of torque, with 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Fast charging capability of 10-80% in 35 minutes.
Expected Price: ₹26-32 lakh
Tata Curvv CNG (December 2026)
The coupe SUV will receive a CNG variant featuring Tata’s dual-cylinder technology.
Features: The dual-cylinder layout will help maintain the 500-litre boot capacity. Expected to be powered by the same petrol engine with CNG option, offering improved efficiency.
Expected Price: ₹11-13 lakh
Tata Blackbird (Mid-2026)
This rumoured mid-size SUV positioned between the Nexon and Harrier remains unconfirmed by Tata Motors, though speculation continues about its development. But some sources says that it has been cancelled in India.
Expected Price: ₹11-15 lakh (speculative)
Tata’s premium EV lineup has been delayed to 2027 due to platform development challenges with JLR’s EMA architecture.
Details: The first Avinya model (codenamed P1) will be manufactured at Tata’s Sanand plant and is expected to be priced above ₹35 lakh. It promises large battery packs with over 500 km range and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Expected Price: ₹30-60 lakh
Tata Motors is strategically expanding its portfolio across multiple segments, with a strong emphasis on electrification while continuing to offer ICE and alternative fuel options.
